2003/04 Multiple UFO Sighting

On a bright and sunny day between June 2003 and June 2004 my mother called me outside of our home to come and look at something she had spotted in the sky. About half a mile away in the direction of some nearby farmland there were three grey oval UFOs hovering high in the sky. From my perspective they appeared to be positioned in such a way that the centre UFO was hovering slightly lower than the other two, forming a sort of triangle. The UFOs did not give off any sort of light or have any kind of markings that we could make out.

Our position and viewpoint

The UFOs were hovering in the air but they were not moving. After watching them for several minutes I lost interest and went back inside. My mum continued to watch them for a while until they disappeared. She later told me that two more had appeared and the five of them had started to move in such a way that they appeared to blink out of the sky and reappear in a different location up in the air.

Air traffic in the area was not uncommon at that time but this was unlike anything we had seen before and I think that that was why we did not think to take any photographs when the incident occurred, we were used to the sight of planes and helicopters flying overhead. Besides, we did not have film for our camera. This was in the days before we digitized. 

I cannot recall reading anything about the UFOs in the local newspaper at any point around that time, which was odd because we saw the craft in the middle of the day. The chances of other people seeing the objects would have been extremely high.

This was the first and only time I have seen a UFO. I never thought that my experiences could have gone any further than this strange sighting.
